Treatment Philosophy

Treating sports injuries requires an understanding of the injuries specific to various sports. Cycling injuries are different from running injuries which are different from weight lifting injuries and so forth. It is necessary to understand the cause of these injuries in order to treat them properly. A rider’s position on the bike, a leg length discrepancy in a runner, or poor weight lifting technique can all lead to injuries that unless corrected will contribute to recurrent injury and also a less than optimized performance.

Dr. Noble treats spinal injuries but there is also an emphasis put on rehabilitation and treatment of extremities. For instance, an injured knee such as a sprain will likely cause surrounding muscles to weaken and tighten. This weakening and tightening of the muscles coupled with scarring of the sprained ligament creates instability in the knee joint. This instability is now what opens up the door for re-injury in the future. Dr. Noble treats injuries like this and many others using not only diversified chiropractic manipulation therapy but also science and evidence-based modalities such as Graston Technique, Cold Laser Therapy, and Kinesio Taping coupled with home exercise care and nutritional support.

Finally, the goal at Noble Sports Chiropractic, P.S. is to have the patient back to an independent state in as few treatments as necessary while insuring against reinjury. As an athlete who has been injured, Dr. Noble knows what it is like to be out of the action wanting to get back in.
