My intent to work with athletes started prior to chiropractic school and was born out of my involvement in cycling. While in high school my identity as a cyclist began as I started mountain bike racing and doing a little road racing. Twenty years later I still ride and occasionally race, and also enjoy snowboarding, hiking, and backpacking.

Having been involved in competitive athletics much of my life I tend to push the limits of whatever I pursue. What I ask of myself while I am training for a race I also ask from myself as a doctor; prepare well and give nothing less than my best. Keeping myself abreast on the latest treatment protocols and science that dictates those protocols is crucial to achieving the highest level of care I can deliver.

Focusing a practice on sports injuries allows me to combine two of my greatest interest: athletics and chiropractic. My own bicycle racing experience enables me to understand the athlete. I’ve won and lost. I’ve suffered tremendously in a race. I’ve been injured and unable to participate. I’ve been there and know those feelings and emotions. Deciding to focus my practice on the treatment of athletic injuries is a natural choice that is made easy by my own participation and passion for sport.
